Honed Media is a strategy, editing, and media company focused on real estate productions. Created by James, a Videographer with commercial experience, Honed aims to tell great stories through the power of storytelling and great video and photographic content.

The JOURNEY

BEFORE the project


Prior to our collaboration, the business had a general concept, some market insights, and established goals. However, it was lacking a business name, a clear brand message, and a means of effectively describing the business to its target audience. Additionally, a brand design was yet to be developed.

PART 1 - Strategy

The brand strategy process unveiled the business' core purpose, the inspiration behind it, the brand concept and name, a comprehensive service description, its mission, and set of goals. This was followed by in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and a thorough understanding of the target audience.

PART 2 - design

Armed with a precise business description and a well-defined positioning strategy, we seamlessly translated all the strategic concepts into a brand identity design. This design was not only a true reflection of the brand's core essence but also designed to resonate with the intended audience. This creative journey included moodboarding, the development of a tailored colour palette, a logo design suite, and a range of mockups that provided a sneak peek into the brand's future expansion.

AFTER THE PROJECT

At the end of our journey together, the business found its identity. Not only a Brand Strategy that included a new name, positioning and growth strategies, audience targeting ideas, clear copy, and brand tone of voice but also a fresh, cohesive and distinctive brand identity perfectly aligned with the business goals.

Concept: Honed Media embodies its name's essence: refinement over time. It is a video production company specialising in creating and editing purposeful content for real estate, architecture and interior design companies. With a mission to forge connections through storytelling, maintain enduring relevance, and provide spaces with lasting longevity, Honed Media stands at the intersection of creativity and impact.

Ultimate goal: Help businesses and real estate owners increase their awareness, reach and sales conversion through video and photographic content.

BRAND DESIGN

Logo Suite

The logo has a minimal shape, with a slight boldness at the edges of the typeface. It’s spacious, with and equidistant gap between letters. The brand mark is a simple merge of the HM, creating a simple monogram that can be easily used across different formats of digital, print and marketing material.

What happened after the project?

By the end of our partnership, Honed Media developed a strategic approach that clearly articulated their business goals and crafted an engaging brand narrative that connected with their target audience. This strategic foundation allowed them to effectively position their offerings as practical solutions that address customer needs.

Today, the company is focused on building a diverse portfolio within Portugal, their home base. They have recently formed partnerships with local real estate and rental property agencies to curate an impressive portfolio of contemporary homes.

Honed Media remains dedicated to its original mission, continuously educating their audience on the nuances of video storytelling through dynamic social media campaigns.
